Triton Space

Join Us In the Exciting Space Industry Today

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like [hard] work.” - Thomas Edison

If you’re reading this page, we hope it’s because you’re interested in joining the talented team at Triton Space, though we recognize it may be because you were looking for a space-themed T-shirt for your nephew and Google somehow sent you here by mistake. If that made you chuckle, this may be the right place for you!

Why Join Triton Space?

We are a small but growing company working in the exciting field of New Space. We lead this page with the Thomas Edison quote because it speaks to a truth that we earnestly believe in: that there is opportunity out there for all of us, and that we must work hard to take full advantage of it. This is not to say that we overwork our teams and push them to burnout (as we have heard happens elsewhere). Rather, we believe in a work-hard play-hard system in which our team is committed to achieving high performance and productivity during the work day while also valuing and prioritizing family, social life, hobbies, fun and relaxation once the work day is over.

What Sets Us Apart?

  • In at the Ground Floor: As a small and growing company, if you join us and stick with us, you have the opportunity to grow with the company into positions of experience and seniority in a way that is rarely possible at larger companies.

  • Exciting Projects: From next-generation rocket engine system design to building whole sounding rocket launch systems and spaceflight hardware, you will be at the forefront of dynamic, demanding and rewarding projects that are making a real impact.

  • 9-80 Work Week: If you already know what this is, you know just how valuable this is. For those who haven’t heard of it, this means we work 9 hours a day (rather than 8) for eight business days in a row followed by one 8 hour day. This results in having every other Friday off, which, believe us, has an outsize impact on helping to disengage from work, to travel, and to enjoy life.

  • A Sense of Humanity and Humor: We are what you might call “normal”, albeit slightly nerdy, people with a sense of humanity and humor (if you couldn’t already tell from reading this far!). We choose to keep things light, fun where possible, and always respect and reward the hard work and dedication of our employees.

What Do We Expect From You?

We are looking for gritty self-starters who are excited to work on challenging engineering problems. We value autonomy and initiative. As a smaller team, we need individuals who are comfortable working independently and can manage their own tasks without frequent oversight. You'll have the freedom to take ownership of your projects and make decisions on your own. This means being proactive in solving problems and seeking out solutions without needing constant direction. If you thrive in a setting where you can drive your own work and contribute to our collective success with minimal supervision, you'll find this role rewarding and aligned with your strengths.

NOTE: Because of the work we undertake for our customers, we are currently only hiring "U.S. Persons" as defined under Federal Regulations 22 CFR 120.15.
