Direct-Acting, Latching Solenoid Valves

Triton Space Technologies offers high-quality direct-acting, latching solenoid valves specifically designed for high performance rocket propulsion systems. Latching valves, also known as bistable valves, are able to maintain their current state without the need for continuous power or control signals. Rather, upon actuation, a powerful permanent magnet captures and holds the armature in the open position. When current is reversed, the permanent magnet is overcome by the solenoid coil and the valve closes. This design makes latching valves ideal for applications where energy-efficient operation is needed and power consumption needs to be minimized or where a fixed valve position is required in the event of power loss.
